FAQ

What experience does Chet bring to this role?

Chet currently serves as a Boone County Commissioner and has more than a decade of public service experience prior to this as a fire officer and medic. His background also includes executive leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies and corporate risk management, giving him the experience needed to make informed decisions and solve complex challenges facing Boone County.

What makes Chet different from other candidates?

Chet is not a career politician. He has a critical eye for deep strategic planning, and he works like a machine on many things simultaneously. When Chet promises, he delivers.

While Chet votes for many of the proposals at the Fiscal Court in their final form, he estimates that he is involved in revising roughly 50% of them before the final votes. He uses a principled rubric to filter all of his decisions, with checks for topics such as: Is this the proper role of government? Is this best for the community? Does this lead to higher taxes? And many more.

Are the attack ads true about Chet blocking lower taxes?
No, they are egregiously false. In 2024, the Fiscal Court was presented two options for tax rates. The rate that would keep revenue flat was 𝟖.𝟗 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 $𝟏𝟎𝟎, and the higher rate of 𝟗.𝟐 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 $𝟏𝟎𝟎, represented approximately 4% increase, or $600,000 total in one year. 𝐈 pushed for the 8.9 and ultimately 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐎 on the 9.2. The news and all who view the meeting recording and materials agree that I was the only vote against a higher tax. Thae rate was the number that went down, due to the increase in property values for calculating total taxes.
What endorsements has Chet received?

Chet is endorsed by the Northern Kentucky Right to Life.

Chet is also endorsed by State Senator Steve Rawlings, State Representative Marianne Proctor, and other local officials. Support from the Boone County delegation to Frankfort is particularly important in addressing items that may be out of the Judge Executive's hands alone.

How can residents share their ideas or concerns with Chet?

Chet believes local government should be accessible and accountable to the people it serves. He posts his cell phone number everywhere so you can call him any time: 859-379-5203
